Hot Photo Tips
When it comes to photos, both QUALITY and QUANTITY matter!
It’s a fact! The more photos you have on your property listing, the more inquiries you will receive, and in turn the more bookings you will have!
It’s a fact! Having photos of all the different rooms, areas, and features of your property is essential. This puts travelers at ease with renting your home, as they know exactly what they are getting!
Must Have Photos:
- View from the property: Travelers like to know what they will be looking at from your windows. Whether it’s a beach, lake, mountainside, forest, vineyard, etc., post at least one photo of the view on your listing
- Bedrooms: It is not enough to just list what type of beds you have in the bedrooms, guests want to see them! It is essential that you post a photo of the master bedroom, and it is also recommended you post photos of additional bedrooms.
- Kitchen: Whether your guests will be cooking or not on their vacation, they all want to see what the kitchen looks like. It is a key part to any home, and can often be a deciding factor in renting.
- Pool/Jacuzzi: These amenities are huge plusses to renters. If your home has either or both, show it off! Having a pool and/or Jacuzzi is a comfort that many travelers are looking for while on vacation.
- Exterior: All listings should show a photo of the exterior of the property. Even if your vacation rental home is a condo in a high-rise building, you should still have a photo of the outside of the building.
- Living Room: If possible, it is recommended you have more than one photo of the living room, showing different angles. Many owners choose to post a photo of their TV/Entertainment Center, and then another of the couch/sitting area.
Remember, it is important to keep your photos up-to-date. It is also important to post clear photos. Photos are the best way to show off all the special features and amenities your vacation home has to offer, so use it to your advantage!
