Fun with my 5 year old boy

Enjoyed two nights here in April 2012 with my little son. Friendly doormen, great nearby restaurants and transportation to central park. Lovely kitchen and nice touch to provide things like hair dryer. Accommodating owner. My son loved it -- a special treat in NYC.

My New Second Home

Our first stay on the west side of Manhattan and after our five nights in this penthouse it will not be our last. My wife and I have previously stayed in hotels and very upmarket ones at that but this has converted us and we will stay here again. The photos and description do not do justice to the penthouse, everything is here that you could want. great views day and night and great to sit and relax in after a hard day enjoying the sights of New York. A large flat screen tv with all the channels you could want. Plenty of nearby shops and restaurants suiting all tastes and budgets. Times Square is only minutes walk away and handy for going for a late stroll. Both my wife and I have no complaints whatsoever, the owner was always helpful not that we had reason to contact him during our stay everything was as you would require it to be from the minute you stepped through the door at street level to the moment we went back through the same door on our way home. Would recommend this penthouse to anybody for location, amenities and the sheer enjoyment of looking out the windows and enjoying the views day or night.

Christmas Lights in NYC

This was our second trip to New York in 2011. Our son lives in Brooklyn so its nice to spend a few days visiting in NYC. Staying in this condo exceeded our expectations. Our flight to Newark was delayed due to weather so we did not get to the apartment until 1 in the morning. We had no problem in getting to our room, and the bed was extremely comfortable after hours of traveling. The air bed was comfortable for our son. Easy to get around with the subway just a few blocks up 42nd. Had a great breakfast at the Theater Row Diner. Ordering food for delivery was easy. Bar hopping the city at night. Had a great dinner at Casa Bella in Little Italy. Rockefeller Center and more. All so convenient. I would recommend this apartment and plan to stay again. We were in NYC in May, 2011 stayed at a hotel on Park Avenue. Twice as much money for half the space. This is the way to go when visiting.

Magical Stay in the Big Apple

New York is exciting but never more so than around Christmas. My Wife and I spent the week before Christmas in this wonderful apartment. The place was very clean, well equipped, excellent location and had spectacular views. From this location we were able to walk to Rockefeller Center, Broadway theater, Bryant Park, New York library and many excellent restaurants. We are retired seniors but the walks were manageable. A wine shop and market were convenient so that we could have a nightcap with a better view than atop the Penisula Hotel. The blow-ups beds are easy to set up/take down and comfortable.

Comfortable, Stress-Free & Luxurious

Staying a quick 3 nights in Manhattan over the Halloween weekend, the last thing I wanted to experience was a big hotel with a bunch of tourists. Staying at this penthouse apartment was the best idea for ease, comfort & style. This was the cleanest, quietest & most relaxing traveling experience I've had in years. A Zipcar lot is directly across the street and returning from New Jersey through the Lincoln tunnel guides you directly to your building. I have already recommended this apartment to friends and family and I will definitely be staying here again.

Fantastic Penthouse with Amazing Views

We spent 4 nights in this penthouse apartment and it was fabulous. The details and photos are exactly as advised. The condo was very spacious and everything we needed was available. Great location within a moments walk to Times Square with easy access to all NY is famous for. Spectacular views! Thank you for allowing us to "live like New Yorkers" in the city that certainly never sleeps!!

A Superior Apartment

I just returned from a 10-day stay in this superior apartment, I can only reiterate what previous reviewers have said about the views, the cleanliness and the location. (which allows you to easily return to drop off purchases or take a breather before going out again) The apartment is amazingly quiet, the bedroom with its very comfortable bed and opaque drapes is better than any hotel, 9th Ave going north is very lively and the variety of restaurants is amazing, there are also food markets, a good wine store just above 42nd and you can see from the constant stream of bicycles carrying take-out that a lot of these restaurants deliver. Should you want to cook, the kitchen has everything one would need including a terrific gas stove, This was my seventh apartment rental in the last few years and definitely the best and the best value for the money, I only worry that with all this praise it will be more and more difficult to find it available...

THE ULTIMATE MANHATTAN EXPERIENCE

I recently attended a wedding in NYC, and had the daunting task of finding a decent hotel room 5 weeks prior to the event. As a frequest visitor to NYC, I have become accustomed to the charming (small), less-than-luxurious (shabby), and overpriced hotel rooms that the city is notorious for. After a long and bumpy flight from LAX, I was eager to check into my accomodations. As soon as I walked in to the lobby I knew this was going to be a fabulous stay. I opened the door and my jaw literally dropped. Unlike some places that exaggerate their locations, I have to say that the above images do absolutely no justice to the penthouse. Once the initial shock-inducing awe of the view wore down (it never did wear off during my stay), I got ready to hit the town for the bride and groom's rehearsal dinner just a short walking distance away. After dinner, I walked an ENTIRE block to the Majestic Theater to catch the Phantom of the Opera, and even hit up three local bars in Hell's Kitchen after. I know I wouldn't have been able to do all this in one night had I stayed in a different area. The Saturday reception was in the Upper West Side, just a cab ride past Columbus Circle and Central Park. Unfortunately, my check out was on Sunday morning but the concierge was kind enough to hold my bags for me until 6:00 pm. That gave me enough time to have a mimosa brunch at Marseilles, then walked past Times Square all the way to the Empire State Building, then shopping along 5th Avenue. All on foot from this Penthouse! We then came back to retrieve our bags. Probably the best show of hospitality was from Juan, one of the fellas at the front desk. The Comic Con Convention was in town just a few blocks from the penthouse, and getting a cab was close to impossible. Knowing we needed to catch a cab to JFK, he walked into the middle of the street and hailed us a cab from the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STREET! That gesture was enough to convince me that this was definitely THE best place I have ever stayed at Manhattan. If you want to truly experience the dining, culture, shopping, nightlife- or even if you just want to blend in- this is definitely the place to stay. By far, the biggest bang for my buck ever! I will definitely stay here again.

A penthouse of my dreams

I stayed in this penthouse in dec 2010. This was i think my 7th visit to the big apple new york city. It was the safest location i have stayed in new york. the penthouse is amazing, very spacious and fantastic location. The view from this penthouse is just amazing. The owner was most helpful to me and the door men were very considerate and kind, they were so helpful and nothing was any trouble. The location of this penthouse is ideal for sightseeing and shopping with macys just a few blocks away. Port authorithy is just a block from this penthouse which is ideal, airport bus transfers avaiable from just $15 one way. I cannot recommend this penthouse enough and i look forward to staying there again soon. Go raibh maith agat.

A Penthouse in Paradise

As a Sydney girl obsessed with New York, it doesn't get any better than this. A friend and I rented this apartment for 21 days from December 26 2009. It's even more beautiful than the photos. Unlike some small, claustrophobic hotel rooms, the apartment is very light and spacious, making you feel like this is your home after a day of sightseeing, shopping, dining and exploring. The location is absolutely perfect. Right between 9th and 10th Avenue on 42nd Street, near the area known as "Hells Kitchen", there are hundreds of fantastic restaurants, bars and clubs on your doorstep. Not to mention Times Square a stone's throw away, the Port Authority Bus Terminal and access to all the subway lines just a short stroll away. Lots of great food markets just across the road in case you do want to cook in the fabulously appointed kitchen. the property sparkles, and contains everything you could need. In a few days I will be back in New York for the third visit... and it will be my second time staying in this apartment, so needless to say, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make their New York experience absolutely special."

Fantastic accomodations for parents and families during college/university graduation......

Please allow this note to serve as our whole hearted endorsement of this location. This choice was convenient for our needs to take in the city of New York, New York! From our initial dealings with your doorman to arriving in the Penthouse to see our breathtaking view we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Your Penthouse was clean and the amenities were as promised. The reason for our visit was to enjoy our son’s university graduation and festivities. There were plenty of details to address during the graduation week but once we entered the Penthouse we knew that our accommodations would be the least of our concerns. This was a far better choice than staying in a hotel. Times Square was within walking distance. My wife is the early riser. After purchasing a Sunday New York Times and a chai, she spent an uninterrupted hour at the beautiful Bryant Park. As satisfied customers the best flattery we can offer is to simply say that our next visit to New York City will include another stay in your Penthouse. Thanks for helping to make our stay a great one.
