We offer a studio which is fully equipped and comfortable with modern conveniences. Situated on the second floor of a three unit building with a small deck and pool views. The unit has a king bed that can be made into two twins, if preferred. There is also a sleeper couch for one. The kitchen is fully equipped has a large table with seating. The bathroom has a tiled shower stall.
Description of Area:
Cliff top condos/apartments surround an outdoor pool. On site management to assist with area information, snorkel and dive equipment. Stairs from cliff top resort to white sandy beach below. Top swim, snorkel and dive site on island - coral reef right off shore under 60 feet of sparkling blue water.
Lunch hut on beach and local cafe and Asian fast food within walking distance. Lagun is a remote area on the west side of the island about 45 min from Willemstad and 30 min from Hato Airport. Close to Christoffelberg National Park and oceanfront volcanic boca’s.
Lagun and local food:
This is a dive, snorkel, swim and lay on the beach persons dream. The lagoon is just down below with chairs on the beach to rent and umbrella’s in the sand for the ones that want shade. There is a small shanty on the beach with tables that offers food for the occasion - not bad - and a nice luncheon dinner place that sits back on the hill. The owner of the Inn that sits next to the condos also has a fantastic BBQ with entertainment on Thursday nights over looking the lagoon - don’t miss it.
For a casual bit there is also the Asian walk-up (I forget the name) within a block of the resort that serves big steaming plates of noodles (or most Chinese specials) to go. One meal is good for two people to take back to the condo. There are other restaurants within a short distance but the best ones are in Wilmsted and beyond. Peter and Tia, who manage the Inn and will act as your host while you are my guest, will give you the scoop on some of the local favorites to try in town.
Sights to See and Night Life:
Again check with Peter and Tia but some of my favorites are (excuse the misspelling) Kristoff National Park, Hato Caves, Sea Aquarium, Thiel Beach, Spanish Water, Klein Curacao, Ostrich Farm and Aloe Vera Farm, Kulanda Museum, Rif Fort and the list goes on. There are many tour companies you can hook up with to see the sights with others.
We also have a larger unit there that is set up similarly but with the kitchen and living room on the ground floor and the bedroom with large outside deck on the second floor.
