VacationMouse considers our users' privacy and confidentiality priority number one. This includes both homeowners that list their properties on this site for rent, and travelers who are looking for a property to rent. If you follow a link to another site, you will not be covered under this policy. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site before releasing any personal information to it.

What information: Your basic contact information: Name, address, email, telephone number, fax number, and property management contact and information, if you have one. If subscribing to our site as a member, or posting a listing, your payment method and payment details are also requested. This is all kept in the strictest confidence and secure.

How it is protected: Once your information is gathered, it is processed through secure channels using current, high-tech, state-of-the-art practices. A secure server and database are used to store all personal members' information, which is highly restricted internally. Your credit card information is stored by our credit card processing partner on their secure server. Our security practices do not apply to other companies. No computer system is completely secure In keeping with these practices, the user should protect against the unauthorized access to their account by keeping their user ID and password secret from others at all times. We also do not permit you to allow others to have access to your account with your permission either. In addition, be sure no one else has access to your computer or account while you are logged on, including by wireless device, and be sure to log off or exit the site while you are not using it.

How it is processed: We process your personal information, which is stored on our server, and shared with our subsidiary and affiliate companies. Personal data may be stored or processed in the United States, or in any other country that we, our affiliates, agents, or subsidiaries, maintain facilities. As a member of our site, you understand, agree, and consent that your personal information may be transferred outside of the country that you submitted it in. If the site is acquired by or transferred to another company, your personal information may be transferred to that company. We do not share your information with third parties unless you have requested to be notified of promotional offers, a third party performs services on our behalf, or deemed necessary by our affiliates. Use of this site is considered expressed consent by you that you understand and agree to our Privacy Policies.

Inquiries: When a site user inquires about a particular property or listing, the personal information they supply, including name, telephone number, email address, and any other information supplied, will be forwarded to the property owner directly. This will enable the property owner to respond to the inquiry directly and supply any information that you may have requested. From this stage forward, the inquirer or traveler will be able to see the property owner's email address in their email reply. The inquirer or traveler should not provide any personal information, credit card details, or banking information in the email or by phone call until they have discussed all the details of the listing, the agreement, and feel comfortable and prepared to do so. We maintain a record of all email inquires made about a member's property, which is also available for the member to view. We may use third party email servers to track and send receipt of the inquiry, and to evaluate usage patterns, which is all done anonymously. No personal information about a particular member or traveler is used or revealed. Your business is your business.

Newsletters: VacationMouse may email monthly travel newsletters to members and users of the site. This newsletter is sent to the email address provided by both parties. Although most members and users find these helpful and informative, any party may cancel their subscription at anytime upon request.
